Spots are running out in I-Sing
South Street Ale House Heat 4

In one of the closest rounds since the start of the competition, three singers advanced to the upcoming semi final round of the I-Sing Australia  karaoke competition for 2017 in last weeks heat from South Street Ale House . 

 Shae set the tone with one from All Saints

There were eight singers on the night with only three spots available for advancement. Each singer brought their own style to songs and there was a wide range of genres covered. The ladies did not sweep this weeks round but were strong contenders to do so again.

At the end of the night, advancing to the next round were:

George Anderson - She Thinks I Still Care
Lynda Keen - Mississippi
Shae Pakulsky - Never Ever

All three showed their wares and performed their versions of the song well with Lynda and George proving that if you miss out in earlier heats, you can brush yourself off, revamp a little and get back into the game, well done.

Once again, kudos to the staff at South Street Ale House, Bruno and crew ran a smooth, well organised night.

Heat 5 will be on tap Saturday night 3 June 2017 so get down early for a tune up from around 7:30pm and by all means grab a bite from the tasty menu or take advantage of the reasonable drink prices.

Market City Rocked on Saturday night With a free Saturday night up my sleeve for once, I ventured out to the  Market City Tavern  to catch a performance by  Amph/lett  (Divinyls) and  Bon's Salute  (AC/DC). After hearing bits about the bands for a few weeks leading up and I can't say I was disappointed in their performances. First up, Amph/lett featuring Tanya Harding on vocals flashed me back immediately to 1986 in New York where I had the pleasure of seeing the original Chrissy and crew for the only time. I-Sing Heat 2

Three Advance from South Street Ale House Heat 2 of the I-Sing Australia competition from South Street Ale House saw another three singers separate themselves from the pack and advance to the next round of judging. The margin was thin between the eight entrants on the night as each held their own during performances. The singers are competing for the right to advance to the West Australian State Championship, on to the Australian National titles and ultimately the I-Sing World Championship hosted by Myanmar in late September of this year. No Foo-ing around as the Fighters conquer Perth By ChuckE! Perth 21 January 2018 - Fans at nib Stadium in Perth on Saturday night had the pleasure of witnessing rock royalty when the Foo Fighters kicked off the Australia-New Zealand leg of their Concrete and Gold World Tour . The Fighters brought along Weezer , a headliner in their own right and both were supported by local act Cosmic Kahuna  .  After an energetic set from the aforementioned Cosmic ones...Weezer took the Stage...
