Heat Six sees three through

With this upcoming Saturday, 17 June 2017, being the last chance to advance to the venue semi finals, three singers collected their tickets to move forward in the South Street Ale House heats of the i-Sing Australia 2017 competition. For any that missed out in earlier heats, drop down on Friday night and give your best shot. Have a shot or two from the bar while you're at it along with a tasty treat from the menu.

Heat 6 brought forth a tense battle among eight singers for a chance to advance. All singers were well presented and brought their "A-Game". At the end of a close heat, the three singers moving forward are in no particular order were:

Tania Canzurle
(Somewhere Over The Rainbow)
Chris Ehlers
(Lately)
Ricko Jordan
(Stuck On You)

These three will now prepare for the semis where they will join fifteen others to contend for the South Street Ale House spots in the Western Australia finals in early September.

Remember, this week is your last chance to snare a spot in the venue semis so drop in on Saturday night from around 8:00pm or so to tune up before the Heat 7 kicks off around 8:30-9:00pm.

Market City Rocked on Saturday night With a free Saturday night up my sleeve for once, I ventured out to the  Market City Tavern  to catch a performance by  Amph/lett  (Divinyls) and  Bon's Salute  (AC/DC). After hearing bits about the bands for a few weeks leading up and I can't say I was disappointed in their performances. First up, Amph/lett featuring Tanya Harding on vocals flashed me back immediately to 1986 in New York where I had the pleasure of seeing the original Chrissy and crew for the only time. Though I'm not nineteen anymore...the effect was very similar! I-Sing Heat 2

Three Advance from South Street Ale House Heat 2 of the I-Sing Australia competition from South Street Ale House saw another three singers separate themselves from the pack and advance to the next round of judging. The margin was thin between the eight entrants on the night as each held their own during performances. The singers are competing for the right to advance to the West Australian State Championship, on to the Australian National titles and ultimately the I-Sing World Championship hosted by Myanmar in late September of this year. No Foo-ing around as the Fighters conquer Perth By ChuckE! Perth 21 January 2018 - Fans at nib Stadium in Perth on Saturday night had the pleasure of witnessing rock royalty when the Foo Fighters kicked off the Australia-New Zealand leg of their Concrete and Gold World Tour .
